The audience were Jewish Christians undergoing persecution, tempted to revert to Judaism. The book was written to strengthen their faith and show that Christ is the fulfillment of the Law and Prophets.
Acts of Apostles
The Acts of the Apostles serves as a continuation of the Gospel according to Luke, providing an account of the events that followed the Ascension of Jesus. This book highlights the actions of the Holy Spirit as manifested through the Apostles, and some scholars have proposed that it ought to be referred to as the Acts of the Holy Spirit.
